Bakewell Weekend

This years annual trip took place to Bakewell, a weekend of running, cycling and swimming with a bit of drinking and eating thrown in for good measure.

The friday started with a leisurely run through the local area.

The next morning, everyone joined in for a fast out and back park run which started just past the hostel. The route followed the old railway line and ended by a cafe.

After the team had completed the park run, it was time for a quick change, before splitting off into groups of cyclists and runners

The runners ran out towards Chatsworth House where some decided to stay and chill out for a while, while the others headed off for another 7 Miles with a well earned Ice cream stop

Back at base we were treated to a full Aussie Barbecue with Andrew Bickerton, famed for his three day barbecue and his ability to cook a chicken in near hurricane conditions.

For those of who wanted, the summer solstice brought an all night swimming extraganza along with bands and fairly lights

The rest stayed on for a rendition of Wonderwall by the talented Mark Acton - before the remarkable Jo Kemp boasted about her Jelly Skills

The next morning a few sore heads went to tackle the COlshaw 10k, while the rest headed back to Northwich - with the indomitable Alan Wilcox still having the energy to cycle back
